This Art is by, Katy Parken, a digital artist from New York. She prefers drawing characters because of their complexity in any story telling situation, and how you can always lose yourself in their backstories, and lives. I chose this piece mostly because it reminds me of something I would enjoy making. I prefer a more cartoon style, with small hints of realism, in this case the motor bike, and the swords are more of a realistic style choice. You can really see the personalities of the characters in this piece. The one in the front seems more boisterous, and happy going, while the one in the back is more secluded and withdrawn, mysterious but still holding a friendly air. The piece has an air about it that makes me want to read the comic it comes from, although I'm not sure it comes from one at all.
